The following article introduces the router components of the Nokia 7250 IXR-e. The device 7250 IXR-e below uses DC power, with an additional accessory of front-to-back air flow conversion kit.

The front-to-back air flow conversion kit (3HE16512AARA) changes the air flow through the 7250 IXR-e chassis from side-to-side to front-to-back.
The front-to-back air flow conversion kit has three main components: a bottom intake/exhaust plenum and two side plena. When the full assembly is installed around a horizontally-mounted 7250 IXR-e chassis, the fan tray pulls air into the front (intake) of the bottom plenum, up the right side plenum, through the chassis, and
expels the air down through the left side plenum and out of the back (exhaust) of the
bottom plenum.
The kit includes 12-24 screws to mount the bottom plenum to the 19-inch rack rails or rack adapter brackets, 8-32 screws to attach the side plena to the bottom plenum, and 6-32 screws to secure the plena together. The 7250 IXR-e chassis must be installed in the equipment rack before the front-to-back air flow conversion kit can be installed.
